Ever wondered what it must be like to stand on the surface of Mars? Thanks to photographer Andrew Bodrov, you can now experience it for yourself. He combined more than four hundred images taken by the wide- and narrow-angle cameras on board the Curiosity rover into one stunning 360-degree panorama. Seeing the surface of the red planet stretch out before you and then zooming in to examine a tiny rock off in the distance is an enthralling experience. It reminded me that our sister planet is far more like the Earth than we sometimes think. Remove the red hue and this panorama could well have been taken from any desert on our world.
